From writers and poets to musicians, photographers and painters, the influences on Brett Whiteley’s art and life were many and varied. From Francis Bacon and Henri Matisse to musician Bob Dylan and poet Arthur Rimbaud, fellow creatives were both the subject and inspiration for many of his mono-prints, drawings and paintings. Painted in 1982, 'Starry night' was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh, with the dynamic swirling brush and ink work reflective of Van Gogh's later paintings.
Poster-sized and ready to frame this 'Starry Night' print is exclusive to the Gallery Shop.
