Grace Crowley was a pioneer of abstraction, extending elements of cubism and constructivism to produce some of the first non-objective paintings by an Australian artist. Part of the Art Gallery of New South Wales collection, Abstract Painting (1950) features a vividly coloured, rhythmic composition of linear shapes and block-coloured forms.
Produced in collaboration with local label Tradition Textiles, this beautiful scarf features detail of Abstract Painting. Made from 100% wool it is light-weight and luxuriously soft, with a soft frayed hem.
