One of Australia’s most celebrated 20th-century painters, Grace Cossington Smith was an important early exponent of modernism in Australia. A brilliant colourist, her work was informed by European post-impressionism and transformed unassuming subject matter into vibrant images of light-infused colour.
Part of her final series of paintings, The Window features a mosaic-like surface of broken brushwork. Part of the Art Gallery of New South Wales collection, it is available as an A3 size print, exclusive to the Gallery Shop.
