Frank Stella is an American artist best known for his minimalist art. Khurasan Gate Variation II forms part of Frank Stella’s 'Protractor' series, in which he experimented with shaped canvases that gave his paintings a sculptural element. This work references ‘hard-edge’ and ‘colour field’ approaches to abstraction and was further influenced by the artists’ encounters with Islamic art and architecture.

Produced in collaboration with local label Tradition Textiles, this beautiful scarf features colourful detail of Khurasan Gate Variation II. Made from 100% silk it is light-weight and luxuriously soft, with a soft frayed hem.
