Australian artist Ethel Spowers was best known for her distinctive, dynamic linocut prints which captured a modernist sense of movement and rhythm and often featured humorous observations of daily life. She studied art both locally and abroad and the bustling scene depicted in Special Edition (1936) is reflective of her time studying at the Grosvenor School of Modern Art in London. Part of the Art Gallery of New South Wales collection, it is available as an A3 size print, exclusive to the Gallery Shop.
