Dangerously Modern: Australian Women Artists in Europe 1890–1940 explores the art and lives of 50 trailblazing women artists and their contribution to international modernism.
Our latest print collection celebrates key works from the exhibition and this mounted postcard print features the painting Ballet by Mary Cockburn Mercer. Spending much of life in Europe, Mercer is rumoured to have worked with Chagall and Picasso and later taught fellow Australian modernists including Grace Crowley, Anne Dangar and Dorrit Black.
