The rediscovery of Swedish artist Hilma af Klint’s ‘secret paintings’, stored away and scarcely known about for decades, has taken the international art world by storm. Deeply engaged with spiritualism, new developments in science and the wonders of the natural world, her groundbreaking vision was unlike any artist before her.

Between 1906 and 1915, Hilma af Klint created her central oeuvre comprising 193 paintings - the Paintings for the Temple. The last works in this series consist of three large canvases the artist called Altarpieces. Exclusive to the Gallery Shop, this A2-sized print features the first painting in the triptych, ‘Group X, Altarpiece, no 1.’
